A house and a baby...how lucky are we!

It seems only fitting to change the background of my blog and actually post something after all these months because we have so many things that are changing in our life and it is all so wonderful! I am such a savvy list maker, so what better than a list to note all the exciting things that we are so lucky and grateful for!

1. We bought a house!!!

We have been in our house for just over a month and are loving it!!! It is perfect and just keeps getting better the more we are there as we continue to work on small things almost every day!

 3. We just had our housewarming party and it was super fun! Tadd's parents came into town and we got to celebrate our first house with lots of friends and family!

2. Baby Barnett is due March 2013!!! We just had our 20 week ultrasound last week and the little nugget is so adorable!

4. My little sister is getting married in 2 months. Yikes...it is coming so fast!

5. It is Fall... which means, Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas. So much to look forward to!

House Flop

 Lately, Tadd and I have been house hunting...We have found a few that we really loved...posted below. We have also found lots and lots that we did not love (not pictured). We put in two offers and have been outbid both times :( The third house pictured below we did not put an offer in for because we thought it was overpriced and we were willing to let it go for the price it was listed. The market is simply bananas...Homes are being listed and are gone within days of the list day...they also are receiving offers above the list pricie and investors are overbidding and paying cash. This is ridiculous and we simply cannot compete. It is very frustrating. The above picture was very fitting because my friend must have known that we just didnt get another house...and so she reassured me with these lookers that I should just keep calm! So, with that, I am trying to keep calm and just keep searching for our very own home. Be patient readers, this may take a while!

Best Friends Wedding

One of my best friends got married a few weeks ago...and I am just now posting pictures because I just now am setting aside time for blogging. The wedding was beautiful...the decor was so pretty and the colors were too! Lauren looked gorgeous and her groom was looking pretty dapper himself. The dancing was crazy fun and that is usually the highlight of my wedding experiences!!!

In just over 11 days, Tadd and I will be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary in Maui Hawaii!!! We are so excited...I think I have been waiting the whole five years to go on this trip, even though we didn't plan it until last year. I have already started packing...I know, super Type A personality; but I had to because I dont have that many summer clothes so I had to determine what I needed to possibly get in order to be prepared for this week long trip I have been looking forward to! Here are a few of the things that I will be packing to be comfy, casual and cute!

Santa Barbara Bachelorette Weekend

This weekend...I am heading to Santa Barbara with my best friend for many years, Lauren Scott...to celebrate her upcoming wedding! My bags are all packed and we are hitting the road tomorrow morning bright and early! I am super excited to spend time with some seriously fun girls...and celebrate Mrs. Lauren Griffin to be!!! It's official!!!

Kelly Barnett, RDH. Yup! Officially a registered dental hygienist as of Saturday March 2nd! School complete✔ boards passed✔ graduation walked✔ License # received✔ 27366✔ I will start work on March 11 and never look back! I am so excited to have this career and I love it! I'm so lucky!!! It was a long haul but completely worth it!

 

No You Didn't!!!

YES HE DID!!! Tadd passed his Series 7 Exam last Thursday! It was a glorious day! He has been studying his tail off since August and was not successful a few times before this last exam date! He went in at 8am sharp...called me at 11:30am, stating that he felt like he was failing the exam and it was a long shot if he was going to pass it...fast forward 3:45...and a text message that says, "where are you?" sent to me. I then frantically text him back...once, twice and three times, call him three times, all the while he is ignoring me, but driving over to my office where I work. Upon his arrival, he steps into the office and throws his arms in the air and smiles as big as possible...HE DID IT! He passed and I yelled and hugged him so so tight! It was such a happy day! We are looking forward to a successful and exciting 2013...boo ya!
