So Pretty...

There are 5+ bundles of these flowers along the main road to my house. They are so pretty. Especially on a sunny day, they seem to glow. They are such a pretty coral.
I actually pulled over and took these pictures. I know, ridiculous. But they are So Pretty!

Lillykins

Happy Sabbath!!! My cute kitty, Lilly, is a fan of human food. She will get all in your face until you give her some of your food. Well tonight, we happened to get some donuts and my kitty (whom we thought liked salt) happened to be very interested in the sugar and milk!

Sprinkle Tinkle

We took Roxy on a walk today and every time we take her on a walk, she will stop quite a few times to sniff around, but also to mark her spot. However, it is the strangest thing...she just pees a little bit each time, like she is saving the rest of it for the next spot. So she sprinkle tinkles about five times throughout a 15 minute walk because that is all that she can handle until she gets tired. She is so stinkin cute though!

Corner Lot

There is this lovely corner lot in our neighborhood...actually just about two houses down the road. I was thinking that I would love to build a little cottage on the lot and have the big tree in the back yard. It would be like the house that Bella and Edward got for their wedding present. But instead of being in the middle of the woods, it would be the little house in between lots of million dollar mansions. Wouldn't that be grand! Here is the big lot for my little home; probably not going to happen, but it was a good thought today! Day 1 for photos!

365 Days

I was inspired by a friend yesterday to try and take a picture every day of the year...whether it is something funny, an animal, a person, a tree...whatever you feel like on that specific day. I think I am going to try it. I cannot guarantee they will be posted every day, but a photo will be taken every day. I will do my best. Here's to 365 days of photos!!! Day 1...April 22, 2010. Picture to be posted before 11pm.

My Attempt

I have a really cool friend who always has the best posts. I am going to try and be super creative and think of great posts on a daily basis. Hopefully...I am successful. I might even attempt Not Me Monday's which my friend does, and those posts make me happy. Here goes nothing...it may not be a daily post, because my creativity needs some time to collect. Wish me luck! p.s. i think this picture is neat. it makes me think i am on a beach but also in the sky at the same time. maybe like floating on a cloud just above the sand. maybe it will help my creativeness!!!

The Firehouse

Tadd and I went to the Firehouse last night for our 2 year anniversary. It was a really nice restaurant in Old Town Sacramento. We were able to walk around for about 20 minutes before we headed in for our reservation. We walked into a few stores, and tried on a some fun masquerade masks. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated promptly in a cute little corner two seater. Right away we were served an amuse-bouche which was a bite size cream puff with a mushroom, artichoke and gruyere cheese filling. It was delicious. Just what we needed to start our dinner. Bread was served with butter shaped as a rose. Then we receieved our sampler appetizer of a crusted brie wedge with currants, beef tenderloin strips and a dungeness crab cake with avocado spread. After that, we got out salads. I ordered a mixed greens salad with strawberries, spiced almonds and goat cheese with a strawberry vinaigeratte. Tadd got an asparagus salad wrapped in prosciutto with artichokes, shaved parmesan cheese and lettuce. This was really tasty and this is a salad that we may try and re create for our next lucky guests. After the salad, we got a palate cleanser.
A small sorbet of cucumber to prepare us for our main dish. Tadd ordered the Steak Delmonico and I ordered the Filet Mignon. Mine came with a mashed potato cake and broccolini. Tadd's steak came with decorative mashed potatoes, broccolini and fried pork belly to add some serious flavor. We could not finish our main dishes which was great because we were able to eat it for lunch today! After our main dish, we were able to get a free creme brulee as I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating our 2 year anniversary. We love creme brulee, so it was perfect to end our dinner and evening at the Firehouse. It was a great restuarant that we were able to try and would definitely reccommend it to anyone who is looking for something nice and fancy and delicious.

Cotton or Straw?

Today...April 17, 2010, is our 2 year anniversary. I guess the anniversary gift is either cotton or straw. I don't think we are participating in that yearly tradition. Maybe I will hand Tadd a straw this evening when we go to dinner! Anyway, can you believe that we have been married for 2 years! Two years ago, we got married here. Photobucket We then headed back to Arizona to have a spectacular ring ceremony and reception at the Wrigley Mansion. We had the best wedding ever! And two years later we are still having that much fun! We are going to the Firehouse tonight in Sacramento which is supposed to be a great place. We will let you know!

I have 3 days left in my 2nd course of my dental assisting program. I got full mouth x-rays last night and got to see my cool implant. It looks like a lightbulb in my mouth. I am super excited to be finishing my second class.

Friday Fun Day

Just yesterday, Tadd had a meeting for his company at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom...so I decided to accompany him and enjoy a fun day of roller coasters, junk food and fun! We started riding the rides around 11am...and got to ride just about every ride that we wanted to. We saw sharks, penguins, sting rays, a walrus, dolphins, and Shouka the whale! We rode Medusa, Boomerang, Scrambler, Tony Hawk's Big Spin and the good old wooden ride Roar! We ate chicken fingers and fries with a free meal voucher and paid for some yummy cotton candy and a frozen lemonade! We had a really fun day at the Discovery Kingdom!

San Francisco

As previously posted...first girl's trip was recently completed beginning Wednesday morning and finishing Thursday afternoon in San Francisco. Devon, Laura, Amber and myself decided to take a trip to celebrate Devon's 30th birthday. Despite the fact that it is not for another few months, she is leaving in about five days for Chicago for five months. Hence, the girls trip! We left Wednesday morning at a crisp 10:00am. We enjoyed La Bou before hitting HWY 80 for San Fran. We had an enjoyable drive down, with gangsta jams and rolled down windows until it got a little nippy. Once we got to the city, we headed straight to Union Square and the shopping. We started at Macy's...moved to a few boutiques...then onto Forever 21, Aldo, Old Navy, Gap, Urban Outfitters and H&M. However, in between all that shopping, we stopped for a mid afternoon snack at CPK. We all got full and re-fueled however I think also a little tired because by then it had started to get windy and a bit rainy. We finished shopping and headed to the hotel. We valet parked our car and headed to our room to relax. It was a cute little yellow room, so we got comfy fast, and took some amazing photos while we were at it!

After we were all jumped out, we got ready to go out to dinner...which by the way took way too long to decide on and Cheesecake it was... we should have planned our evening better, but we had a lot of fun and got good food and dessert of course. After dinner, we danced back to the hotel ready for our pj's again. As the four of us got into the elevator, we pushed floor number three and as we arrived at the floor, the door would not open. The phone began to dial and no one answered as we stood sweating in the miniatare box elevator. After a good three minutes, Laura decided to try the door open button and thank goodness it worked! We then proceed to our hotel room and as we turn the corner we notice that the door to our room is open and the lights are on which was not the case for either just a few hours earlier when we left for dinner. Kind of freaky...however, nothing seemed out of place and no one was in our room. Weird!!! Then round two of awesome pictures...

Then it was officially bed time. Thursday bright and early, 8am we were up and about getting ready for the final hours of SF and then heading home. We checked out and headed down to Fisherman's Wharf for some brekkie. We ate at Boudin but not before we went to a few candy places and purchased some treats for ourselves and family. After Boudin yummy sourdough breakfast, we headed to Ghiradelli Square to finish off the afternoon with some delicious Kara's cupcake purchases and Ghiradelli chocolate. After that, we were back on the road headed for Sacramento. We had a lot of fun on our short getaway and I am looking forward to the next trip that we take!

Girls Trip

I just returned yesterday afternoon from a girls trip to San Francisco...we had a ton of fun and there are lots and lots of pictures coming!

This is the hotel we stayed in...lots of good stories to come too! Check back soon!
